TOUR
Fann Mountains: 15 Lakes
Iskanderkul, the Alauddin Lakes and the Valley of Seven Lakes. Four days of mountain scenery, clean air and local hospitality.
About This Tour
The Fann Mountains are known for their lakes: the water shifts colour through the day, from pale blue to deep indigo. This is one of the most scenic mountain regions in Tajikistan — and one of the most accessible: the route requires no special preparation.
Over four days you'll see three of the region's landmarks — Iskanderkul with its nearby waterfall, the Alauddin Lakes in the quiet of juniper forests, and the Valley of Seven Lakes. You'll stay in guesthouses and eco-camps, eat home-cooked meals, and travel with a guide throughout.
The tour can start from Dushanbe, Khujand or Panjakent — whichever suits you best.
Tour Programme
1The road to Iskanderkul
Departure from your chosen starting point. The drive crosses mountain passes, followed by a walk to the waterfall near Iskanderkul. Evening and sunset on the lakeshore.
2The Alauddin Lakes
Transfer to the Alauddin Lakes. An easy trek through juniper forests to one of the cleanest spots on the route.
3The Valley of Seven Lakes
Haft Kul, the Valley of Seven Lakes — seven bodies of water, each one higher than the last. A chance to see how life works in the mountain villages.
4Heading back
A peaceful morning by the water, a little more time to relax and take photos before a comfortable drive back home.
